went o a long journey today so took a copy of poems on the underground with me, it’s amazing how spending some time reading poems can affect your language, i sent a text to a friend and found that i was writing in a slightly different way, and this got me thinking, how little contact with something you need in order to change your thinking, or ideas, or style. so how much reading/contact would the young people we work with need in order to change the way they think, maybe not change but have another view point! i wonder if you read i different style of book then normal how would that change how you see things, i often hear people talk about giving young people different experiences perhaps reading/watching different things as adults will give us a perspective on life!
question? when was the last time you read something new/different? and what impact did it have on you?
